Copywrite drops “T.H.E. High Exhaulted”

Eight years after the initial release of his debut album T.H.E. High Exhaulted, Copywrite will be re-releasing the cult underground classic with newly-added tracks next Tuesday (June 1).

Originally put out through Eastern Conference Records, limited pressing of T.H.E. High Exhaulted subsequently led to a high demand for the album that put the Columbus, Ohio native on the map. Along with the original 18-track disc featuring production from RJD2 and the late-great Camu Tao, Copywrite has added seven new records to the mix including the Khrysis-produced “Last Laugh.”

T.H.E. High Exhaulted: 8th Anniversary Edition will serve as a nice introduction to Copywrite as he is currently at work on his latest album The Life and Times of Peter Nelson, due out this fall. T.H.E. High Exhaulted: 8th Anniversary Edition will be released on Man Bites Dog Records.

“Then came the worst date, May 21st. 2:19 that’s when my mommas water burst”

Raised in the Brooklyn borough of New York City, Wallace grew up during the peak years of the 1980s crack epidemic and started dealing drugs at an early age. When Wallace released his debut album Ready to Die in 1994, he was a central figure in the East Coast hip hop scene and increased New York’s visibility at a time when West Coast artists were more common in the mainstream. The following year, Wallace led his childhood friends to chart success through his protégé hip hop group, Junior M.A.F.I.A.. While recording his second album, Wallace was heavily involved in the East Coast–West Coast hip hop feud, dominating the scene at the time.

On March 9, 1997, Wallace was killed by an unknown assailant in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles.

The Late Great Christopher Wallace aka. The Notorious B.I.G. would have been 38 years old today. #RIP BIGGIE

Big thanks to my peeps over at UndergroundHipHop.com for hooking me up with the custom grey and black UGHH fitted hats. UGHH.com has the illest collection of custom hats from Hatch and a enormous collection of hip hop gear!

“i’m underground till i’m under the ground…”

Even legendary emcee Cappadonna from the Wu-Tang rocks the grey UGHH cap on a daily!!!!

The HATCH project was created from a concept of collaborating on a level of true respect and enjoyment. UGHH.com has had the chance to work with many creative minds and wanted to provide a platform for artists we enjoy working with to solely create. The business & production side of creating merchandise can be a serious burden to the creative process, so they decided to focus on that side and let the designers have some fun creating a limitless design. 9 Designers have come together to form our first collection of fitted hats!
